VOOR transformed 97,875 sq ft at SEGRO Park, Hayes into a high-performance food distribution hub for Kikkoman and JFC International. The project included 1,400m² of freezer storage, 2,000m² of chilled space, ambient racking, and new offices and welfare facilities, creating a fully integrated environment tailored to the operational demands of large-scale food distribution.

Beyond the physical fit-out, the scheme was driven by operational efficiency. VOOR worked closely with data teams and mechanical handling specialists to support efficient picking systems, optimise workflow, and ensure the space functioned as a coordinated distribution facility rather than just a storage unit.

The project also required careful navigation of planning approval within a conservation area, landlord licence to alter requirements, Building Regulations, and CDM 2015 compliance. The completed facility was designed to meet the standards required for BRCGS certification, reinforcing both food safety and operational quality.
